Our Critical Care Sea Turtle Facility is a testament to how your continued support enabled us to respond in ways not possible eight years ago. Over the last four years, we have admitted 80 endangered cold-stunned Kemp’s ridley sea turtles from New England waters to our Critical Care Sea Turtle Facility. The support we’ve received from our members, donors, and the public has enabled our team to provide vital medical care and rehabilitation to these animals until they were ready to be released back into their ocean homes. Help us prepare our Critical Care Sea Turtle facility for this year's cold stun season.
Your support allowed us to be prepared to answer the call and lend vital assistance to our partners at Sea Turtle Recovery (STR) this summer when they experienced a lightning fire at their facility, displacing five of their sea turtle patients. AMSEAS was able to admit all five patients to our Critical Care Sea Turtle Facility and help their team care for these turtles for over a month until STR’s facility was back online.
